Confession of Christ

June 15, 2013

2 John
9 Whosoever transgressed, and abide not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abide in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

That would be nice if we all could know that we are really in the doctrine of Christ.
That could only know those who went out of the world as much as they can and pray always and study Scriptures. Probably Saint John was thinking about many of us who are not sure in faith, but declared Christians. The most important, say Apostles, is that you have to admit that Christ is God who came in the flesh and that He is the Son of God and that He is the Lord.
We have a confession which tells more about Christ that we repeat at least once a weak.
One thing we do not repeat enough

Mathew, Chapter 25
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Mathew, Chapter 10
42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
Mathew, Chapter 18
5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name received me.
Mark, Chapter 9
41For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward
Luke, Chapter 10
16 He that hears you hear me; and he that despise you despise me; and he that despise me despise him that sent me.
1 Thessalonians, Chapter 4
8 He therefore that despise, despise not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holly Spirit.
